rev. dr. mark mattes, chair of the theology and philosophy department at grand view, recently presented a lecture on “lay orders.” he presented to the florida chapter of the society of the holy trinity via zoom on november 9 and to the iowa chapter on november 16.  “lay orders” are lay people who join clergy in a common way of praying and living.
